PVDF

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is known for its excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and melt-processibility.

Easily fabricated through injection and compression molding, PVDF has gained strong market interest in recent years. This is mainly due to its outstanding piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and ferroelectric properties.

These attributes make it a material of choice across various applications, including chemical processing, electrical and electronics, energy storage, and specialty industries. To address the wide range of processing requirements, PVDF is commercially available in multiple grades with varying melt flows.

Coating grade: PVDF coating grade is a powder form and PFAS list free polyvinylidene fluoride, which can be blended with acrylic resin and additives to produce PVDF coating with excellent properties. It is suitable to produce finish coating and light, dark colors coating. Made from virgin PVDF, properly processed coating film provide good mechanical properties, toughness, and highly resistance to radiation and most bad environmental conditions, which lead to excellent performance for the long term.

Application: coil coating, extrusion coating, cool metal coating (cool roofing coating), industrial coating, architectural coating.

Plastic grade: PVDF plastic grade is a pellet form with low viscosity, medium viscosity and high viscosity. Its MFR range from 1 to 40 at 5 kg load. Properly processed PVDF fabricated products provide good mechanical properties, toughness, and highly resistance to acid, alkali, oxidant and halogen at room temperature. At a temperature above 100℃, it shows high resistance to hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and alkaline with concentration below 40wt% in water. It is also stable to radiation and most bad environmental conditions, which lead to excellent performance for the long term.

Application: injection molding, extrusion molding, compression molding, blowing & casting.

Battery grade: PVDF battery grade represents a specialized class of polyvinylidene fluoride polymers engineered specifically for lithium-ion battery electrode binders and separators, where exceptional electrochemical stability, mechanical adhesion, and ionic conductivity are paramount. PVDF has become the industry standard for high-performance energy storage systems due to its unique combination of chemical inertness, thermal stability up to 150°C, and compatibility with aggressive electrolyte environments

Application: binder for cathode and anode, separator coating.

Membrane grade: We offer two types of PVDF for customers to choose, an emulsion process homopolymer PVDF with good solubility and a medium molecular weight; a suspension process homopolymer PVDF with good solubility, relatively low molecular wight and low viscosity, through NIPS and TIPS process to prepare filtering membranes with excellent chemical resistance, excellent mechanical toughness and strength.

Application: Water treatment filtering membrane

Film grade: PVDF film is specially designed for back-sheet used in photovoltaic modules, has an outstanding performance in terms of its physical and mechanical properties. Due to a good tension

control upon film processing, the film is easy to unwind for downstream dry lamination. The film has one side corona treated, providing a good adhesion to both PET and EVA films. Thickness ranges from 18mic to 30mic.

Application: Solar panel backsheet
